About Curtis Lawson
Curtis Lawson began his career in comics at the age of 25, writing articles and reviews for
paperbackreader.com. At the age of 26, he started up Broken Soul Press as an outlet for his
own comics. In addition to his self publishing efforts here at BSP, Curtis has had work featured
in horror anthologies from other companies. In 2008 Curtis met his biggest success when he placed
number five in the Platinum Studios Comic Book Challenge for his steam punk inspired fantasy project
“The Sleeping King”
Before trying his hand at comics, Curtis played guitar and bass in numerous metal and punk bands.
He lives just north of Boston with his girlfriend and their beautiful son.
